Dad: Look J, I have two candles. One tall and one short.We are going to jump over the candles ok? 
J: Ok. 
Dad: We will jump over the short candle first. Watch me! Jack, be nimble. Jack, be quick. Jack, jump over the candle-stick. 
Now you try. Sing the song too, ok? 
J: Ok. Jack, be nimble. Jack, be quick. Jack, jump over the candle-stick. 
Dad: Good job! Let's try and jump over the tall candle. Make sure you jump high!Try not to burn your toes. 
J: Ok. Jack,be nimble. Jack, be quick. Jack, jump over the canddle-stick.

2.Jump with  me 
Dad: Let's dance and chant together J. 
J: Ok. 
Dad: Let's hold hands. 
Together: Jack, be nimble. Jack,  be quick. 
Jack,  jump over the candle-stick. 
Jack jumped high, Jack. jumped low. 
Jack jumped over and burned his toe. 
(help J jump up into your arms, blow on J's toe) 
Dad: Did you have fun? 
J: Yes. 
Dad: Let's do it again.

3.Stool jumping 
Dad: Look J, I have set up some stools. Would you like to jump over them? 
J: Yes I would like to try. 
Dad: Great, I will help you. You will jump over them while we chant Jack be nimble. 
J: Ok 
(Hold J' s hands and help she jump up, over and down from the stools) 
Together:Jack, be nimble, (help J jump onto a stool) 
Jack, be quick. (help J jump down) 
Jack, jump over the candle -stick.(help J jump over the next stool) 
Jack, jumped high, (help J jump up onto a stool) 
Jack, jumped low.(help J jump down) 
Jack, jumped over and burned his toe. 
(help J jump over the last stool, blow on J's toe)
