If you ever ride an airplane before, you have to tank to the Wright brothers. Orville and Wilbur are the two people who invented the first flying machine that can carry people, control itself, and powered by an engine. They were not focused on airplanes early in their lives but they are interested in engineering by a bit. Their mother is a skillful women, she can help the brothers' dad move furniture from one place to another, fix broken items, and even create cool toys for the boys. The brothers inherited many of their mother's tools when she died. Later, they bicycle craze stroke America and they opened a bicycle store and learned about airplanes at that time. They started creating their own airplane designs based on some old failed designs. Then, they tested their new machine which they named the Wright Flyer. They tested the machine out first in a sandy and windy beach in North Carolina. Then when their plane were good enough, they tested it inland where it is not sandy and not as windy. Eventually their aircraft is done and shown around the world. The world was amazed and their invention later helped the entire world.

Who Were the Wright Brothers?
Jim Buckley,James Buckley,Tim Foley,Nancy Harrison 著 / Grosset&Dunlap
