Throughout the 1930s he composed the now famous poems about Macavity, Old Deuteronomy, Mr Mistoffelees and many other cats, under the name of 'Old Possum'. In 1981 Eliot's poems were set to music by Andrew Lloyd Webber as Cats which went on to become the longest-running Broadway musical in history. This charming new edition contains original colour illustrations by the award-winning illustrator of The Gruffalo, Axel Scheffler.

為今年暑假去聽CATS音樂劇準(zhǔn)備的，先用繪本鋪墊起來。而看書前又是先聽的歌，二十幾首每首都好聽啊～娃說他最喜歡the railway cat，但是卻更愛哼唱the old gumbie cat，因為好聽啊，哈哈！感謝艾略特和韋伯～太美好了！

前兩個月看了音樂劇后一直想買這本，終于到手，娃說看著看著就忍不住都唱出來了??????不過有些內(nèi)容還是音樂劇里沒有的，但是大名鼎鼎的memory書里也沒有?? 總之這本書我還是很滿意的，作者是諾貝爾文學(xué)獎獲得者，插圖作者的風(fēng)格我也很喜歡
