原來Henry和Annie第一次見面并不是那么順利。我家孩子雖然很喜歡看他和Mudge的故事，但并不喜歡一直總是淌口水的大狗。所以，她很能理解Annie的諸多不適。
不過，故事最讓人欣賞的部分是Annie的教養(yǎng)。她在飯桌上沒有抱怨一句，有關(guān)狗的口水或是床底下的曲奇餅什么的。這也讓Henry對她刮目相看，為后來友誼的建立打下了堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。
