紐伯瑞金獎的圖像小說New kid讀完，很不錯，黑人藝術家的關于黑人孩子上fancy私立學校的故事，中文版剛剛出來，打算收進。中文版的翻譯叫《我在私立學校的第一年》，其實并不準確，主人公其實是從另一所私立學校轉來的。

我很喜歡圖像小說，覺得這是一種很獨特的藝術表達和敘事方式。這一本獲得了紐伯瑞兒童文學的金獎，黑人藝術家的作品，自然要看。

這本的中文名叫《我在私立學校的第一年》，但其實翻譯得并不準確。書中明確說到了主人公是從一個很小的私立/獨立學校轉到一所高大上的私立學校的。故事講的是一個膚色比較淺的七年級黑人孩子轉入一所白人富人為主的高大上紐約私立學校第一年的故事。涉及到很多racism和micro-aggression的話題，也涵蓋了初中年齡階段孩子們的友情，和親人的關系等等話題。我覺...

這本書是以第一人稱來寫的，主人公的心理活動寫得非常幽默，他對周邊環(huán)境的觀察也細致入微。總得來說，很好看。榮獲了newburry獎。
