M: Collect eggs? What’s the fun of that? S: It’s fun. It’s something like Easter egg hunt. You know, I found the egg, I found the egg. You know it’s fun. We are going to enjoy them. And where are they, monkey? M: I think they are on the farm. S: Yes, they are on the farm. On the farm we can feed animals and we can collect the eggs. Let’s go. ●Page 1 Ok. Look! Come and eat everyone. Look! Here are a lot of hens and the children fed the hens. Feed the animals, feed, feed. S: Have you ever fed something. M: Somebody fed me. S: Oh, I know. What did they feed you? M: I think they feed me lots of bananas. S: Ah, happy monkey. What are they feeding the hens? Chicken feed, OK? This is chicken feed. Come and eat. And all these hens were really happy and got “food, food...” What is Floppy doing here? Floppy is tied onto the fence. And here comes a little sparrow. The little sparrow is annoying Floppy. Floppy got “go away, go away” ●Page 2-3 M: Hey Susan, what are they doing here? S: Let me see. I think they are collecting eggs. Look, every one of them is holding a carton and when they see an egg, they will pick it up and put in the carton. Let’s help them, Let’s help them. Here we have one egg here. one, two, three. three eggs here in the grass. And Kipper’s found one here in the grass too. And there are more. And how many hens can you see?1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10.11, eleven hens. Ok. And, where are they? Some are walking in the grass and some are standing on the wheelbarrow. Really cool. Floppy is barking here. what happened to Floppy? Floppy got “go away.” And here comes a little black bird. I think this one is called a magpie. And in my yard, you can see many many magpies. And I don’t quite like the sound they make. Because they make like krr.. this kind of sound. And then Floppy is a little bit afraid of it. “go away, what are you doing?” Probably these birds don’t quite like Floppy. ●Page 4-5 It Seems that dad has got some cool ideas. What is daddy doing here? Daddy is holding some money. Ok I am gonna give you secretly. Keep it secret, don’t let the children see. What is daddy doing? daddy is secretly paying the farmer. Why? I don’t know. Ok. They have finished collecting the eggs and they are giving the cartons to mummy. What is floppy doing here? look here comes a hen and the hen got “gagaga” Are they rooster or hens? They look like hens. Because you know what? Only hens can lay eggs. So, I think they should be hens. Here comes a brown hen. And the brown hen is harassing Floppy. Floppy is still tied up to the fence. And Floppy got“Don’t peck me，don’t peck me ”. Look at the leash. the leash is taut. ●Page 6-7 They are going in to the barn. Usually you put some hay and some small animals in the barn. ok and Kipper went on looking. what are they looking at? I don’t know. They are looking at something. May be this hen. Look at the floppy here. Floppy is Covering his eyes. Oh, no, what’s wrong with the bird here. And come here the goose. The goose is saying on its back. ●Page 8-9 “Look at this egg.” said Kipper, “This is too big. ” And look at this hen “It’s not mine” Why do I say so? Because a hen can not lay such a big egg. It is impossible. And that’s why everyone is surprise. What such a big egg! ●Page 8-9 And here comes another goose. Floppy is so scared and Floppy stands up like this,“Go away, go away, don’t harass me” ●Page 10-11 And then Kipper got a hold of the egg. And Kipper said“emm”?Kipper looked at the hen and looked at the egg. Kipper looked at the hen. “This is too big for you. ”he said. “how is impossible that you lay such a big egg.” And then look at the Floppy, Floppy got “Geese go away, please.”And the geese were honking. All these birds hate Floppy. I am so sorry. ●Page 12-13 And dad said something,“l(fā)ook everyone, look at Floppy.” Floppy is on its back. But look at the bird. It is only very small robin. This is funny right? Floppy is so big and the robin is only this big But Floppy is so scared. But of course, They didn’t see what happened to Floppy. Ok, “Come and see this,” said dad. Floppy, you are so afraid of the little birds. Floppy said “come on you didn’t see what I experienced”. ●Page 14-15 They went to see the ostriches. I got it, this is not a chicken egg, ok? This egg is an ostrich egg. This is so huge, because ostrich is big. “This is too big for you,” said mum. let me carry it. don’t drop it. Look at Floppy again. The biggest ostrich is pecking Floppy’s ear. Why do the birds hate Floppy so much? I don’t know. What’s this ostrich doing？It is eating out of a trash can. It’s funny. Oh, look at this ostrich and this one and this one. They have very long necks. very funny. And this this ostrich is running here. It looks a little bit scary. ●Page 16 Look at them! They are having breakfast. Everyone of them is eating an egg. And it is very interesting. They put egg in the egg holder. Look at this egg holder. It is big, such a big egg holder, because the ostrich egg is very big. “That’s too big for me,” said dad. Probably you cannot finish it. I think probably mum and dad were having to eat together to finish it. ●Question and Answer. 1.-Where are they? -They are on the farm. 2.-What are they feeding the hens? -They are feeding the hens chicken feed. 3.-What happened to Floppy? -Floppy was annoyed by all kinds of the birds 4.-What kind of the birds is this? -It a magpie. 5.-What are they doing here? -They are collecting eggs. 6.-What is daddy doing here? -Daddy is secretly paying the farmer 7.-Do you know why he is paying? -Because dad paid to buy that big ostrich egg. 8.-What happened to Floppy here? -A goose is standing on its back and barking at it. 9.-What did they find here in the barn? -They found a super big egg. 10-Is it a chicken egg? -No, it’s not a chicken egg. It is an ostrich egg. 11.-What is this little bird? -It is a little robin. 12.-Why is it funny? -Because the robin is so little, but Floppy looks afraid of it 13.-What is this ostrich doing? -The ostrich is pecking Floppy’s ear 14.-Where are the eggs? -The eggs are in the egg holders.
