Poppy (a small deer mouse)'s family was growing too big so part of her family had to move to "New House". In "Dimwood Forest" there lived a selfish owl named "Mr. Ocax". He called himself the ruler. If Poppy's family is going to move, they have to ask for owl's permission. But Mr. Ocax said no when they went to ask. Poppy had to do something. She went to new house alone and found out Mr. Ocax' secret. Poppy defeated Mr. Ocax in the fight. Then her family can move.
Poppy is the bravest mouse I've ever seen. She was way smaller than Mr. Ocax but she still wanted to fight for her family. Poppy is also very smart. She used a porcupine quills as a weapon, looked like a ninja mouse when she was fighting with bad Mr. Ocax.
I recommend this book to all brave children.
