(Bird and Kip - 49)

One winter morning Kip woke up.
The air was cold.
The wind howled outside.
Kip shivered. "Brr!"
He hugged himself.
"It's so cold!" said Kip.
A few snowflakes flew into his hole.
Kip's eyes lit up.
"It's snowing!" he cried.
"Bird and I can play in the snow!"
Kip jumped out of bed.
He ran to his closet.
He found a scarf, a hat, and boots.
Kip put on the snow gear.
He stepped out of his hole.
A gust of wind blew.
And Kip fell.
"Ahh!" cried Kip.
Poomf!
He landed in the deep snow.
Wind and snow blew all around.
Bird looked down from her nest.
"Kip, are you okay?" she called.
"I'm okay," said Kip.
"I'm going to play in the snow."
"You can't play outside now," said Bird.
"There's a blizzard!"
