Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Today is the first day I start to read this book. There are 5 children in this book. Augustus Gloop, (a greedy boy), Veruca Salt (a girl spoiled by her parents), Violet Beauregarde (a girl who chews gum all day long), Mike Teavee (a boy who does nothing but watch television), last our main character Charlie Bucket (The Hero). Charlie lives in a very very extremely terribly poor family. He desperately wants to eat more than cabbage soup everyday. But even more than that, he longs to see Mr. Willy Wonka’s enormous chocolate factory.

Today I found out that I really love this book. Charlie has four grand parents that will read at least 1 hour story to Charlie every evening! Willy Wonka made a huge chocolate palace for the Indian Prince and warn him to eat it quickly. But the prince said “Nonsense. I will live here forever!” And Yes, Willy Wonka’s warning is true. When the sun was extremely hot, what a poor prince he is! He was just in the living room of the palace, sleeping on the couch when he woke up to find himself swimming in a sticky brown lake! And then ten years later, Willy Wonka made the five golden tickets. Will Charlie get one? I am almost dying because I haven’t finish this book today.

Today’s story is so much fun. Don’t close your eyes. Mr. Willy Wonka hid the five golden tickets in his chocolates. So 5 children who gets them could visit his factory. Mind you, Only FIVE! So, thousands of people came to buy ten packs of chocolate a time! The time went past the 1, 2, 3, 4 winners got the golden ticket, and so people buy 30 packs a time. But would Charlie get one? Yes, he really did get one! Because his oldest grand parent gave him his last penny in the whole family. Crowds of people came over to Charlie and wanted to buy his golden ticket.

Today’s reading is real fun too but you can close your eye. Charlie took one of his grand parents to the chocolate factory. Lots of people didn’t listen to Mr. Wonka so they got into trouble. The 3 children were Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde and Augustus Gloop. Augustus feel into a chocolate pipe, Voilet turned into a giant blueberry and Veruca has been thrown into the rubbish bin with thousands of bad nuts!

There is only two more kids left and they are Mike Teavee and Charlie Bucket. Will they get into trouble too?

Mike Teavee really loves toy guns. He didn’t listen to Mr. Wonka and he was turned into really small and needs to get stretched. So Charlie won the factory. He and Mr. Wonka took the glass elevator.

The Magic School Bus Flies from the Nest
Written by Joanna Cole, Illustrated by Carolyn Bracken, Designed by Louis Bova & Maria Stasavage / Scholastic

The Graveyard Book
