I've heard of this book and I'm very young, but I've never read it.  Actually not even now, for I only listened, not read. Well, is this a good book? The answer is, oh, of course it is.  To speak the truth at first I don't think it's about uncle Tom at all. Because the first part of the book were about other slaves.
    So what the author wants to tell us in this book?  I think the author want to tell us:  What  white people have done to the black race. What evil and torture  stays now in the civilized world still. And also what kind people are trying to do trying to help the poor,  the hungry, the miserable slaves. 
 One of the really notable things in the book are Tom's death. Tom is a real christian. He really believes in god and believes that all will be saved. He was never really miserable.  But still , we can still see clearly what the slave owners have done to the poor slaves.
 Maybe you say that it's no use now of this book. And the reason might be that there are no slaves in this world. The black race have got what they wanted: freedom, justice. But think about it. Have they really got freedom and justice they want. I don't think so.  At least not all of them have got the justice.  Some Americans and maybe some people outside America still believe in segregation,don't they? Also, this book isn't just for the black race. There are also many other races in the world that haven't got justice, nor freedom. If you still can't understand ,think! Think about all those Chinese and asians that haven't got the right treating in other countries. Think!
 After all the thinking, would you really believe that this book might really have, at least in part, caused the civil war?
 Surely I will. Surely!
