《There so Flamboyant》
太太太有趣！
第一次遇到內(nèi)容比插畫更吸引我的繪本，反復(fù)把文字讀了三四遍。

flam·boy·ant - (of a person-or bird!- or their behavior) tending to attract attention because of their confidence, exuberance, and stylishness.
一開始先來個名字解釋。
然后一群flamboyant的火烈鳥??就浩浩蕩蕩的出場了。
扎眼的新人自然引起鄰居的側(cè)目。
各種鳥兒，三三兩兩，碎碎念叨，組織上門“討個說法”。
話還沒出口，大門一開，音樂一放。
火烈鳥們居然開了個派對，反過來謝謝大家的歡迎。
賓主盡歡。故事，完。
然后真正吸引我的內(nèi)容，來了。

第一是各種鳥群的表達方法。
或飛，或站；或在天空，或在海里。
它們都有不同的“group name”。
我回頭再去翻文字，果然：
A gaggle of geese gathered to gab.
A congress of crows convened to caw.
And a dole of doves discussed their dissent.
（留意所有首字母）……
甚是有趣。

第二是作者表達的三觀。
以為作者在玩文字梗，嘻嘻哈哈準備看完。忽見作者后記：
flamboyant原是一個帶歧視性的詞。This story
playfully reclaims the word and shows the flamboyant flamingos as gracious and neighborly, modeling
positive and welcoming behavior for the other birds.
但即便火烈鳥性子如此，其他鳥兒依然用歧視的目光看待他們。那火烈鳥改？！
不！
To being flamboyant. Be pretty. Be pink. Be proud!!
