Air Show

Every year there is an air show close to where we live. It is a free air show, but we are not allowed to bring any drinks and food to the show and of course drinks and food are very expensive. For example, a bottle of coke is $4 and a hot dog is $5. To give them credit, the event was very well organized. We parked our car at a big stadium, went thru security check and there were shuttle buses to transport us to the air show. 

Besides the air show, there are all kinds of military airplanes big or small parked at the air show and you can take a tour of the inside of the airplane or take a peek of the cockpit. There are also military cars and weapons on show as well. It is a fun event for anyone who likes these things. This year’s highlight of the show is the demonstration of F-22 jet fighter, flying over of B-2 bomber and US navy blue angel flying performance. 

We went with my son two years ago and he was too little to enjoy it then. He was afraid of the louder sound. We decided to go again this year with my son and hoped he would enjoy more this time. He did better this time. He likes the show, but still afraid of the louder sound. It is quite loud indeed. One of the reason we wanted him to go is let him to know that he needs to try things that he might be afraid of. We are better prepared this time with ear plugs, still not enough. Next time we will buy the big ear muffs.
