The Ikabog book review
This book is a fairy tale written by JK Rowling. The setting is in an imaginary country called Cornucopia. This story is about a type of monster called the Ikabogs who eats human.
My favorite character in this book is called Daisy Dovetail. She is a very courageous girl who lost both of her parents. Her mother died as a seamstress because of over working for the king and her father became mad after being tortured in the dungeons by an evil lord called Spittleworth. In my opinion, she is the hero who saved Cornucopia. She used her wisdom to convince the Ikabog to free the pack of soldiers instead of eating them and yet she is just a little girl. I think without Daisy, the king would have died in the Ikabog’s mouth a long time ago.
My favorite part in the story is when Flapoon gets eaten by an Ikabog. This is because I hated Spittleworth and Flapoon from the start of the story as they pretended to be the king’s best friends but both wish that the king would die sooner so they get to take the throne. Despite that, the foolish king still thought that they were true friends. Flapoon and Spittleworth has killed so many innocents so not only did the Ikabog get rid of a evil person, it also helped other innocent people from getting killed by Flapoon too.
I think JK Rowling could have done better by killing Spittleworth too because then it would release the anger of the readers.
As I was reading along, I realized the Ikabog was never the bloodthirsty and wicked monster, they just wants to protect his family and his race. To conclude, I think that the real monster was Spittleworth and Flapoon, they refer to the inhumane and nefarious side of people.
