好巧，我昨天剛剛看到這本at the dump。長期的語感也讓我覺得有些別扭，我是這樣理解的：

put it here就是比較泛指這里的一個地方了，但是這本書里，是特意強調(diào)要放進回收的箱子里，所以我認(rèn)為要加上in.

here/in here二者還是有微妙的區(qū)別的。

區(qū)別1：

當(dāng)你強調(diào)在房間、建筑物或者箱子之類的里面時，用in here是對的。如果用here則表達的是比較籠統(tǒng)的地點，可以在里面也可以不在里面：

比如：
It's cold in here.（房間里）
It's dark in there.（房間里）
It's pretty in here.（房間里）
He is in there. (pointing to the door of a room)
