magic tree house的開篇第一本，喜歡的恐龍的男娃女娃肯定會喜歡這本，適合給恐龍迷作為入章的首選。這一本lexile指數(shù)只有240L，閱讀指數(shù)達到的娃理解大意肯定不成問題，只是涉及到恐龍肯定還是有一些生僻的詞比如白堊紀、霸王龍之類的。 也有偶爾出現(xiàn)的習(xí)慣用法，比如p44的“coast clear”。The coast is clear, 作為習(xí)慣用語，就是沒有人阻礙，危險已經(jīng)過去，可以開始行動的意思。有意思的是，這個意思或許源自海盜。
book level 2.3。文字很少、內(nèi)容簡單，插圖大膽明快。適合剛?cè)腴T的小朋友和家長共讀。如果閱讀水平達到2.3的小朋友，想必又會覺得文字太少太簡單了。繪本就是這樣，和分級相比，繪本的文字難度和興趣難度也許不是那么匹配。所以繪本是更多從畫面欣賞和閱讀情感角度去看。這本小朋友覺得很夸張好玩。
