Fatalism has been tricky to define. It’s generally thought of as a belief that outcomes cannot be changed and are determined by outside forces. 

Without education, it would be easy to take a fatalistic view, but in reality, people can improve their chances of survival with simple behaviors such as going for screening. 

Marlow comments that fatalism should be addressed not just at an individual level, but also at a community level, to encourage public understanding of cancer. In general, reducing educational disparities can help to address other inequalities that affect health. Another approach is to tackle those inequalities in healthcare access head-on. 

It can also be helpful for patients to share their own stories。

大學(xué)同學(xué)的娃去了中外合辦的學(xué)校，現(xiàn)在的選擇多些了，可以兩三年在中國(guó)一兩年國(guó)外。第一梯隊(duì)是港中深，上海紐約大學(xué)，昆山杜克。

今年突然多了優(yōu)先批的三所學(xué)校要700分。主要搶外區(qū)的孩子，NH，SD的是不會(huì)填優(yōu)先批的。成績(jī)好的都提前簽了，而且會(huì)給最好的班。有的學(xué)校管理比較寬松，家長(zhǎng)都希望去比較抓得嚴(yán)的學(xué)校。
