數(shù)學(xué)提高班 - Grade 7 Algebra class

Next year, the middle school on the Pudong Campus will begin a pilot project offering a Grade 7 Algebra class to selected students.Through an inclusive selection process that included examining current grades, standardized test scores, work habits, maturity, the ability to think and communicate mathematically and an algebra readiness test, your child has been selected to be registered for Grade 7 Algebra. 

We are very pleased to be able to offer this differentiated math track for your child and hope it will challenge and interest him/her.That being said, please note the course will be rigorous, and may place additional pressure and stress on your child during Grade 7.  

Please also note that, at this time, the Puxi campus does not offer Algebra in Grade 7 nor Geometry in Grade 8.If your family is considering transferring to Puxi, but wishes to take our Grade 7 Algebra, it might be best either not to take the course or to hold off transferring until your child has completed middle school. 

Please discuss this option with your family and reply to this email before Monday June 11th, noting whether you accept the Grade 7 Algebra placement for your child.In the meantime, if you have any questions about the course, please contact Mrs. Thekla Manning, who will be the teacher next year.
