記第一次參與????幼兒園活動—介紹MId-Autumn Festival

小甜妹Preschool 9月主題是Culture Diversity，走廊主題墻我很喜歡。

涉及的課程主題也挺有意思：Alike & Different、Respect、Friend & Family、Food…

周五是Celebrating Cultures Day，歡迎家長到學校分享傳統(tǒng)文化。

作為少數(shù)裔，還是應該抓住機會發(fā)揚一下傳統(tǒng)文化，同時多參與孩子的學校活動，有利于增強孩子的自信心。

我要努力做一個積極的家長！

說實話我挺緊張的，第一次給十幾個孩子講故事，還用英文，沒敢準備過多互動，怕hold不住，只用圖文方式進行了簡單的介紹。

后來發(fā)現(xiàn)其實很隨意，形式、內(nèi)容、時間都沒有具體要求，美國小朋友特別喜歡互動提問，一開始問：“Does anyone know where are we from？”，沒人知道，但有一群小盆友舉手自我介紹，特別可愛，以后分享可以多一些互動游戲。

走的時候，有兩個小朋友過來擁抱我說：“Thank you！”，超級溫暖！

Mid-Autumn Day, also named Chinese Moon Festival, is celebrated on August 15 of lunar calendar.

It’s a time for family to come together and give thanks for the harvest and reunion（likes thanks giving day）.

On that day，the moon shines like a polished pearl, round and bright , is a symbol of reunion，We’ll spent the time outside admiring the full moon.

We look up at the sky and know that our loved ones are watching the same moon.

The traditional food is mooncakes，which are chinese Pastries with different fillings, sweet and chewy .

There are lots of flavors，such as: red bean、wuren（mixed nuts）、flower、icecream…

My favorite is white lotus mooncake with salted egg yolk.

According to Chinese mythology,there is a beatiful lady on the moon, Chang-E.

The earth once had 10 suns circling over it.

One day, all 10 suns appeared together, making earth hot and dry.

The Jade emperor asked his most skilled archer,Houyi, to help.

He shut down nine of the suns.

As a reward, Houyi wanted the elixir of eternal life(kind of magical potion which can make people live forever).

Houyi wanted to choose a special day to share elixir with his wife.

But their servant knew elixir, he wanted elixir too.

One day, Houyi was’t at home, the servant threatened Chang-E.

in a panic(full of fear), Chang-E drunk exileir,

Because of overdose, she floated and flew to sky, and than landed on moon, lived there forever.

這本英文版的中秋節(jié)介紹，作者是加拿大人，故事有點出入。
