Why not take down what I learn and teach?

A few days ago, Lawrence’ classmate’s mum told me what she heard about their previous headteacher and the present headteacher. She said both r very responsible, but the latter one seemed to be accepted faster and more easily probably because she took an open mind and tried to observe the kids’ progress more while the previous one is likely to encourage ss to correct their mistakes. Obviously the kids like the one who praises them more. 

Then I cant help thinking about myself. I have taught since 2011 and have been a headteacher for more than 5 years. Most of the time i just can’t helping tell ss what mistakes they have made and the progress i hope they can make. Of course, i would praise them for the progress they make, but when i reflect the purposes to praise, it seemed like i praised them in order to push them to be better. Not the way that i sincerely just want to praise them. Since the little kids at the age of 4 can feel the happiness of being praised sincerely, what about the 14-year-old kids? They must have sensed it, too.

So in order to reflect and remind me all the time, maybe it’s high time taking down my thoughts as a teacher instead of occasionally thinking about it and laughing off. 

As for the time, im considering make good use of the working hours for it is indeed part of my job too. 

Why not take down what I learn and teach to be a better teacher? I can resister another wechat public account so as to share and communicate with others.
