粉繪者買(mǎi)的，總覺(jué)得Engelbreit的圖很童話(huà)。故事是老故事，但沒(méi)想到文字也挺好，幾乎算是韻文，但讀來(lái)并不尷尬。表達(dá)靜謐“not a creature was stirring”,看到“the children were nestled all snug in their beds”就覺(jué)得舒適，看到肚子笑起來(lái)像碗果凍還挺逗的，這么形容圣誕老人的估計(jì)也比較少見(jiàn)了：“he was a chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf. a wink...
講了電力汽車(chē)的事，還提到愛(ài)迪生改善電池的事（has created a new battery called the Edison cell）。中間有段電力汽車(chē)VS汽油車(chē)的比試環(huán)節(jié)，講了兩種車(chē)的優(yōu)缺點(diǎn)，有頁(yè)插圖莫名讓人想起《給小鴨子讓路》（繪者真有趣）。
skinnamarink是個(gè)啥根本查不到，翻開(kāi)看背景介紹才知道是一首歌。旋律部分基本算生造詞，完全看不懂，看了后面感覺(jué)想表達(dá)的意思就是I love you，無(wú)論何時(shí)、何地（I love you in the Arctic, the desert, by the sea...）、何景,都深?lèi)?ài)不移就對(duì)了（I love you in the springtime. I love you through and through.Be sure to sing this love so...
