Now that we have done some background research, developed research questions, and practiced working from general to specific in our interviews, it is time to interview your family members.
Develop a list of questions to work from and take good notes. You will be required to submit interview questions and notes in your final Identity Portfolio.
Historical Narrative Notes
The past two days we have been in the library doing research with Mrs. Boyer. Be sure to check her blog (here and in the Acacdemic Integrity links on the right sidebar) for specific information about using library resources to research your topic.
As you research, keep in mind…
- to use a Word document in notebook view for note taking. Use a new tab for each resource you use.
- that you will be required to submit your research notes and a bibliography in your final Identity Portfolio.
- that you will be incorporating 3-5 facts from your research into your historical narrative. (Example: If you are talking about an air raid, you might research and incorporate the kind of planes used during that war.)
- to record sources for your bibliography
