The title of this book, “The curse of the ancients”, makes me feel chilly and scared, though the story itself is not that scary. In fact, it is anything but scary, it’s a brave tale. I feel like this book, unlike the other books in the series, kind of focuses on the ancient Maya culture more than the story itself, but that is what makes it so fascinating. What interested me the most is how the Maya village worked so well together, how they are so determined and brave! To save Pacal’s codex and Pacal, they thought of smart plans. To save the ring and help the time travelers, they could even sacrifice their life! Even though this is a novel and some of the things are made-up, but I doubt that they won’t be any like the description in the novel. I will sure check out books about the precious codex and the Mayan culture, thanks, infinity ring!
