Carlos and his family are returning to Mexico to celebrate Navidad. When they arrive, they participate in Las Posadas. They walk through the neighborhood knocking on doors and singing carols until they locate the fiesta. At midnight, they attend church together.

很久以前一個(gè)叫瑪利亞(Mary)的女子即將嫁給一個(gè)叫約瑟(Joseph)的木匠,他們已經(jīng)訂婚。有一天,一位天使來到Mary面前,告訴她將會有一個(gè)嬰孩,這個(gè)孩子是上帝的孩子。天使也在Joseph的夢中顯現(xiàn),對他說:“瑪利亞所懷的孕是從圣靈而來,她會生一個(gè)兒子,你要給他取名Jesus”。于是,Joseph按天使的吩咐娶過Mary,專心期待上帝之子的降生。

有一天,凱撒王下了一道命令,Mary和Joseph必須回故鄉(xiāng)Bethlehem(伯利恒)申報(bào)戶籍。這時(shí),Mary已經(jīng)懷了很重的身孕。當(dāng)他們到了Bethlehem時(shí),城中客棧全住滿了,他們只好在一間馬棚中暫且安身。Mary的產(chǎn)期已到,夜里便在客棧的馬棚中生下兒子。

Las Posadas is a Mexican, nine-day religious celebration that begins on December 16 and ends on December 24. In some parts of Mexico, Las Posadas is a major holiday, with the whole community taking part in nine days of celebration. Las Posadas means The Inns in Spanish and symbolizes the Biblical journey of Mary and Joseph as they searched for shelter in Bethlehem before the birth of Jesus. 

Bethlehem

Bethlehem is a small town near Jerusalem(耶路撒冷), in the West Bank, a Palestinian(巴勒斯坦) territory. People of the Christian faith generally believe that Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
