Hurricane Katrina caused much more damage than the citizens in New Orleans expected. The author, Lauren Tarshis, put so much effort in the details of the book. She says it is sad that no one actually did something to prevent a hurricane. I felt sad too, thinking that countless families had been torn apart by this hurricane. Luckily, in the story it is a happy ending. The author knew after all this, the novel just couldn't be tragical.

你家孩子幾年級，一般晚上幾點睡

我家朵拉現(xiàn)在在國外上8年級，由于學校離家很遠，早晨6:15就上校車，每天需要5:30起床，因此晚上熄燈時間是家庭教育的焦（焦慮）點。

7年級時剛轉到這所新學校，學業(yè)、生活都需適應，每天睡的很晚，到12點也是有的。每天看她一絲不茍地完成各項作業(yè)（當然磨蹭的成分也有），常常勸她差不多就得了，別太認真；當看到她自我放松，上網找視頻看時，又忍不住訓她：別看了，趕緊寫作業(yè)，早點兒睡覺！每天下午放學回來到熄燈睡覺之間的幾個小時，都是我和朵拉之間關于做與不做作業(yè)和如何完成作業(yè)的拉鋸戰(zhàn)。

圖書館奇談

（日）村上春樹著；（德）卡特·曼施克繪；施小煒譯 / 北京十月文藝出版社

《圖書館奇談》這本書我不是特別喜歡。第一，我對故事結局感到很莫名其妙。第二，故事情節(jié)很恐怖，而且是在圖書館地下室發(fā)生的，使我對去圖書館借書產生恐懼。第三，作者的風格我也不是很喜歡。
當然，這本書也有一些優(yōu)點。它的句子很流暢，插圖也很精美。
我不是很明白這本書的內涵，因為我沒有看過村上春樹的其他作品。希望以后能再次回顧一下圖書館奇談。
