"The gate won't let go of my fingers, Mum."

"The lamppost won't get out of my way, Mum."

“媽媽，這燈柱擋住了我的路。”

"Mum!"

“媽媽！”

（Splat想盡了一切可以阻止他上學的方法，然而并沒有什么用。）

You can ride your bike if you like, Splat," said his mum.

“你愿意的話，你可以騎你的自行車去，”媽媽說。

So he did. But he didn't say a single word.
