Susan, Susan, I'm so bored. Monkey, where are you? Why are you so bored? I'm at a beach and I have nothing to do. What, Monkey? You're at the beach and you have nothing to do? Come on, today we are gonna read this book and I'm gonna teach you a fun game to play at the beach. Let's make the sandcastle. Hello everyone, are you ready to read with monkey? Let's get started. 

First of all, I want you to Look at the Cover. Ah, that's our family, Mommy, Kipper, Biff and Chip. Oh, they are Looking at the poster. What does the poster say? It says enter the sandcastle competition. What's a competition? It's a very long word, but don't worry about it. Com-pe-ti-tion, when you see a long word, you cut, cut, cut it into small part, and you will be able to read it. Competition competition, what's a competition? It's a game. A lot of people are playing together. And we will see who boast greatest the most beautiful sandcastle. Let's get started.

I believe they want to enter this game, so there they are, our family. Wow, everyone is carrying a lot of tools. So Chip had a box, where is the box? Ah, there. Wow, such a big box. Now they're trying to find a good spot to build their sandcastle.

Page 2-3 
Look, they're patting patting, patting, so he put sand in it. That's Chip, Chip put sand in it. Pat it flat, he said. So it will Look like a building. That's a really good idea.

Page 4-5 
Wow, everyone, the first layer has been done. Now Kipper has a smaller box. Oh, Look, it's a smaller box. And in Kipper's hands, you can see a small orange bucket and Kipper is pouring sand into it. So Kipper had a box, he put sand in it. And I wonder what mum and dad are doing? Look, Mommy is reading, we are reading too. And what about dad? Dad is playing his foot! Funny dad!

And then, Biff had a bucket, where is Biff? There she is! Wow, Look at Biff's bucket, it's red and it has very weird shape, right? And she's getting sand in it. And she put sand in it. I think that's really cool. And what about Mommy and dad? What are they doing? Oh, they are both looking, they are Looking at the children. Wow, Look, Kipper has just removed the box, two layers, really cool, ah-ha?

Then, there are some people coming to watch. I think they must believe that this sandcastle is really cool. And then Biff put the bucket on top. Boom, and gently gently lift it up! Look, one two three, three layers. Wow, that's really cool. And what is mommy doing here? Mommy is taking pictures for them. Good, she said. So pretty. What about Kipper? What do you think Kipper is doing? Oh , I see many many shells. How many? 1,2,3,4...so many. You can pick, pick up some shells on the beach. OK.

And then it was a sandcastle and they have made some stairs over there. It was a good sandcastle. So pretty!

Look, everyone is coming to Look and they have got the first prize. Amazing! Wow! Congratulations! You guys are really cool. It was the best sandcastle. 

Ask and answer

1, (P1) What's this? It's a box.              

2, (P2-3)And what are they doing? They're patting it flat. 

3, (P4-5)And then what is mommy doing? Mommy is reading.

4, (P6-7)And what's this? It's a bucket.      

5, (P8-9) And what is Kipper putting on the sandcastle? Shells.

6,(P10-11)And then what's this? Stairs.

7,(P12)And then they have got the? First place. Good job. They have got the first place.The best sandcastle.
