英語期中考寫作翻船

描寫優(yōu)勝美地Descriptive Passage 

The steep cliff stretched into the clouds and loomed over the lake, casting a shadow over the trees at the foot of the mountain. It had a sheer drop that seemed as if a massive chunk of it had been sliced off by a sharp razor, leaving a surface smoother than cut marble, reflecting sunlight onto the rippling lake. The dazzling sun peeked out through thick tufts of clouds, bathing the canyon in sunlight and illuminating everything with a warm glow. It lit up the clouds, as if they had been set aflame by a beam of light, dancing through the sky. Trees of all kinds grew in a ring surrounding the lake. Out of all the trees, no pair looked the same- some stood straight and proudly, some had thick trunks and lush leaves, some with old,twisted branches and thinning leaves, all mirrored in the crystal-clear lake.
