Slight Cold
Slight cold, the 23rd of the 24 solar terms, falls between January 5 and 7 ofthe solar calendar, and this year is on January 6. The climate is getting colder.
二十四節(jié)氣之第二十三個節(jié)氣，在每年公歷的1月5日、6日或7日。今年小寒交節(jié)時刻是1月6日。小寒，標(biāo)志著一年中最寒冷的日子開始。
As a saying goes, the winter solstice(冬至）is past and the slight cold, the great cold and the New year come to us one by one.
俗話說，冬至過去到小寒，過了小寒是大寒，過了大寒就過年。
PS: Slight cold，還有一個意思，輕微感冒。
eg. I have a slight cold. 我患了輕微的感冒。
最近確實感冒的人越來越多了，這周cindy就要期末考了，她班上還是有不少感冒的，希望孩子們早早好起來，順利完成考試。
如何用英語表達(dá)“冷”
eg. It is cool/cold/chilly/cold/freezing today.
話說，我一直以為chilly比cold要更冷，看來不對。

Winter is nearly here and we’re getting a head start on fun activities for the kids!
Recently we made a cute polar bear puppet and today we’re sharing this easy polar bear handprint craft.
Colored card stock (in blue and light blue)
White card stock
Black marker
Pink marker
Glue stick (this is our new favorite type)
Scissors
Foam sticker snowflakes
Polar bear handprint template
Download the polar bear template, print and cut out the pieces.
Trace your child’s hand on a piece of white paper. Cut out the handprint and
set aside.
Glue the polar bear’s head onto the thumb.
Use the pink marker to draw in the polar bear’s inner ear and cheeks.
Use the black marker to draw the claws onto the bottom of the polar bear’s feet.
Glue the largest iceberg towards the bottom of the blue card stock. Glue the smaller icebergs higher on the paper.
Use the black marker to make water lines on the blue piece of card stock.
Place glue along the back of the polar bear handprint and glue it onto the large iceberg.
Place the foam snowflake stickers all around the paper for decoration.
