This book in the "I survived" series is about the San Francisco earthquake in 1906. The author used lots of great adjectives in this novel. It's a great way to inform people about disasters by creating interesting fictional stories based on them. The main character, Leo, had to use his brains to solve different problems immediately. To me, the book is really easy, but I learned survival skills in earthquake and fires so it was worth it.

The Island of Dr. Libris
Chris Grabenstein 著 / Random House
Chris Grabenstein is one of the best authors. He writes stories that contain a little mystery, his book "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library" is a masterwork. Like that book, this book is pretty awesome too.

Where the Mountain Meets the Moon
Grace Lin / Little, Brown
I’ve always considered Grace Lin’s story either mystical, or realistic. “Where the mountain meets the moon” is the first type. It is a magical and exciting story about a girl on a journey with a dragon to find the answers to their questions...

Infinity Ring 4: Curse of the Ancients
Matt De La Pena / Scholastic
The title of this book, “The curse of the ancients”, makes me feel chilly and scared, though the story itself is not that scary. In fact, it is anything but scary, it’s a brave tale. I feel like this book, unlike the other books in the seri...

TALES FROM SHAKESPEARE
查爾斯·蘭姆,瑪麗·蘭姆 著 / 天津人民出版社
This book is a more simple version of Shakespeare’s stories. It summarizes his stories and then lay it out in the modern English. It is indeed like fairy tales, with both comedies and tragedies. The spirit Shakespeare constructed was virtue...
