Today let’s read The Sandcastle.
今天我們來讀《沙子城堡》。
Look at the cover.
看看封面。
The family is looking at the poster which says ‘Enter the Sandcastle Competition’.
這家人正在看一個海報，上面寫了“來參加沙子城堡比賽吧”。
Oh, there is a sandcastle competition on the beach.
原來沙灘上正在舉行沙子城堡比賽呢。
The family wants to join the competition.
大家要去參加比賽啦。
Do you think they will win? Let’s see.
他們最后贏了嗎？我們一起來看看。
The family is at the beach.
大家來到了沙灘上。
They are looking for a good spot to build the sandcastle.
他們要找個建城堡的好地方。
Look at all the tools they are carrying.
看！他們都拿了很多的工具。
Chip has a box. It is a very big box.
Chip拿了一個箱子，是個很大的箱子。
Biff and Kipper are holding buckets and shovels.
Biff和Kipper拿著小桶和鏟子。
Mum is holding two bags.
媽媽手里拿了兩個包。
Chip is putting sand in the big box.
Chip把沙子裝到箱子里。
“Pat it flat,” he said.
他說：“拍平整。”
All the children are patting the sand.
小朋友們都在拍沙子。
Kipper has another box.
Kipper有一個箱子。
It is a smaller box.
這是一個稍微小點的箱子。
After Chip removed the big box, Kipper put his box on the sand.
Chip把他的大箱子移走了之后，Kipper把這個小箱子放在沙子上面。
He also put sand in it and patted it flat.
他也把沙子放進去，并且拍平整。
Biff has a bucket.
Biff有一個小桶。
She is putting sand in it.
她把沙子裝在桶里。
What are Mum and Dad doing?
媽媽和爸爸在做什么？
They are watching the children making the sandcastle.
他們在看孩子們建城堡呢。
Biff is putting the bucket on top.
Biff把小桶放在最上面。
Chip and Kipper are putting seashells on the castle.
Chip和Kipper在城堡上放了很多的貝殼。
“Good,” she said.
她說：“很不錯。”
It is now a three-layer castle.
現(xiàn)在這是個三層的城堡啦。
What’s Mum doing ?
媽媽現(xiàn)在在做什么？
She is taking photos.
她在拍照呢。
What about Dad?
爸爸呢？
He is lying on the rug.
他正躺在毯子上。
What are the children doing?
小朋友們現(xiàn)在在做什么呢？
Biff is building stairs for the sandcastle.
Biff正在給城堡建樓梯。
Chip is decorating the sandcastle with the small stones.
Chip正在用小石頭裝飾城堡。
Kipper is putting a flag on top.
Kipper在城堡上面插了個小旗子。
It was a real sandcastle.
這真的是個城堡呢。
It was a really good sandcastle.
是個非常棒的城堡。
Here is the result.

The judges give first place to the children.
評委給他們頒發(fā)了一等獎。

這是最好的一個城堡。

1. 每個寶寶的年齡不一樣，基礎不一樣，不需要完全按照以上文本來講。如果孩子感興趣，就多說一點，不感興趣就少說一點，都沒問題。
2. 只要孩子理解，或看圖能明白，或家長可以用肢體語言或者指物的方式讓孩子明白，就不要翻譯。
3. 如果實在不能理解，可以適當解釋，但不需要字對字翻譯。
