Today let’s read The Pet Shop.
今天我們來(lái)讀《寵物商店》。 

The family was at the pet shop.

全家人都去了寵物商店。

What can you see in the pet shop?

你看到寵物商店里都有什么？

I can see many animals.

我看到了很多動(dòng)物。

Which animal did they choose?

他們會(huì)選擇什么動(dòng)物呢？ 

Let’s have a look.

我們一起看看吧。

The family stood in front of the shop window.

大家站在櫥窗前面。

Everyone wanted a pet.

大家都很想要個(gè)寵物。

They talked about the pets.

他們?cè)谡務(wù)撨@些寵物。

The shop owner opened the door to welcome them.

店主打開(kāi)門(mén)歡迎大家。

What did Chip want?
Chip想要什么呢？

Chip wanted a rat.

Chip想要一只小老鼠。

Chip was very happy to see the rat.

Chip看到小老鼠非常開(kāi)心。

Did others like the rat?

其他人喜歡老鼠嗎？ 

“Oh no!” said everyone.

“不要！”大家說(shuō)。

They didn’t like the rat.

他們不喜歡老鼠呢。

Kipper is scared of the rat.

Kipper很害怕老鼠。

What did Biff want?
Biff想要什么呢？

Biff wanted a spider.

Biff想要個(gè)蜘蛛。

The shop owner showed a big brown spider to Biff.

店主給Biff拿了一個(gè)很大的棕色的蜘蛛。

Did others like the spider?

其他人喜歡蜘蛛嗎？

“Oh no!” said everyone.

“不要！”大家說(shuō)。

Look at Mum. She was frightened to see the spider.

看看媽媽，她被蜘蛛嚇壞了。

What did Kipper want?
Kipper想要什么呢？

Kipper wanted a snake.

Kipper想要一條蛇。

He was excited to see the snake.

他看到蛇很興奮。

“Oh no!” said everyone.

“不要！”大家說(shuō)。

Everyone was frightened by the snake.

大家都被蛇嚇壞了。

Mum even covered her eyes with her hands.

媽媽甚至用手蓋住了眼睛。

Dad was holding a fishbowl.

爸爸拿著一個(gè)魚(yú)缸。

Everyone wanted a goldfish.

大家都想要一條小金魚(yú)。

All of the family were happy with the goldfish.

大家都很喜歡金魚(yú)。

They decided to have the goldfish as their pet.

他們決定養(yǎng)一條金魚(yú)作為寵物。

What a good decision!

好棒的決定呀！

拓展問(wèn)題

1.Which animal did the family choose at the end?
大家最后選了什么作為寵物呢？

2.Which animal in this book would you like to choose as a pet?

這本書(shū)里的寵物里，你會(huì)選哪一個(gè)呢？

你家里養(yǎng)寵物了嗎？你喜歡嗎？

拓展練習(xí)

（難度略大，適合4歲以上寶寶～）

I Can Read 系列的Pete the Cat中有一本書(shū)A Pet for Pete也講到了養(yǎng)寵物，很巧的是，Pete同樣也選了一條金魚(yú)作為寵物，有興趣的話可以看看這本書(shū)哦！

特別提醒

1. 每個(gè)寶寶的年齡不一樣，基礎(chǔ)不一樣，不需要完全按照以上文本來(lái)講。如果孩子感興趣，就多說(shuō)一點(diǎn)，不感興趣就少說(shuō)一點(diǎn)，都沒(méi)問(wèn)題。

2. 只要孩子理解，或看圖能明白，或家長(zhǎng)可以用肢體語(yǔ)言或者指物的方式讓孩子明白，就不要翻譯。

3. 如果實(shí)在不能理解，可以適當(dāng)解釋，但不需要字對(duì)字翻譯。
