Historical Change (2008 Beijing Summer Olympics)
Entry #1 – “China shall claim victory!” – Ballad
Disappointment, bitterness
Astray and sorrow
But all those wounds along the way
Will bring us triumph tomorrow
Fulfill the dreams and ambitions
As the flag flies
Scarlet red with shining stars
And with the sun, China will rise
The people outbursts
Pride swelling in their chests
As the torchlight flares
Illuminating the nest
Claiming victory
Above the Great Wall
Where the dragon circles the sky
China shall vanquish all
Entry #2 – “See Hope” – Haiku
Wait until our tears dry
Then we climb up and keep on
Victory so close
Guided by the light
Spinning around the corner
To the endless road
Sprint out of the black
Towards winding trails of hope
Heading for future

I love the chest and nest rhyme. You do a fantastic job of showing the change for China and showing how they did it. So many hints as to what you are talking about here, too. It’s very clear.
The haikus are more ambiguous.
