英文寫作作業(yè)-詞匯的運(yùn)用：Global Problem and Solution

Global Problem and Solution 
 

We are encountering several  global  problems that are hard to  work out， such as global warming   and  environmental pollutions. The problem  that  emerged unexpectedly in  the beginning of  2020 needs to be solved. We call it the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Covid-19 epidemic is  currently  the greatest  crisis worldwide. Corona virus spreads  among people  by close contact, including sneezing, coughing, and touching. Because of  its high infectivity,  people  all over the world have already  stayed  at home for almost a year, causing the whole world to be in complete chaos. 

During the lockdown, many works are not in proper operation. We students had to take online classes. Occasionally, we are distracted by electronic devices, causing fights between kids and parents.  It’s difficult to imagine what a heavy burden is on the shoulders  of the medical workers.   Until   9 p.m.  on  March 17, 2021，  nearly  120  million  people were  diagnosed  as Covid-19 and 2.68  million  people  died in this epidemic.  Every  country   all over the world  is  trying to  prevent  Covid-19  from  spread ing  even wider,  but we can’t predict the end point . 

China had made a great success in stopping the epidemic.  Our success is not because we have  specific  medicines or vaccines,  but  everyone in the country cooperates. We  are fighting the virus together，since  everyone staying at home  is the best help to the  whole  country.  Can these give us an idea on how to  stop the Covid-19 crisis?  Everyone  must cooperate with each other! Every countries must help each other, fighting this battle together is the best solution. China is now  donating  supplies like  masks and even vaccines, many volunteer doctors and nurses  are going  out of China  to  help  patients in  other  countries . 

Because everyone in the world is connected,  I  believe, if we all trust each other, and help each other, we will  solve  this severe crisis, turning everything back to normal.

這是上周末英文寫作課的作業(yè)，昨天晚上小朋友列提綱、寫初稿，今天晚上修改。終于聽了老師的建議，查字典找適合文章的同義詞。老師給出的是網(wǎng)上查字典的網(wǎng)址，我想讓他學(xué)習(xí)查紙質(zhì)詞典，就把當(dāng)年我讀博士時(shí)，外教老師送的詞典找出來給他用。沒想到這就是寫作老師推薦的字典之一，今天查了幾個(gè)詞，比如： encounter，emerge...用后立馬覺得新詞更高大上！

雖然這篇還有不少語法錯(cuò)誤，問題與解決方案的思考還不夠深入，不過在用詞方面和句子之間的連接開始有意識地進(jìn)行選擇和取舍，顯現(xiàn)出了進(jìn)步。希望以后能繼續(xù)這種思考方式，積累和運(yùn)用寫作詞匯、 打磨句子和段落之間的關(guān)系。
