一、詞匯拓展

1、helmet 安全帽

A firefighter wears a special hat, it calls a helmet. The helmet is very strong,it can protect the firefighter's head.

2、hose

Q：How do firefighters stop fires? 

A: They stop fires with a hose.

Q: How do firefighters use the hose?

A: Water comes out of the hose. They use the hose with water to put out the fire.

3、special clothes

Q:Why do firefighters wear special clothes?

A: Because the fire is hot, they wear special clothes to prevent themselves from getting burned.

4、extinguisher 滅火器 

Q: What can we do with an extinguisher?

A: We can stop fires with an extinguisher.

5、sign  

The man holds a stop sign. STOP means don't move.

Q：Why the firefighter hold the stop sign？

A: Mybe the house is on fire, it's dangerous.

6、emergency 突發(fā)事件，緊急情況

A house on fire  is an emergency.

7、A fire truck go fast

Q：Why does a fire truck go fast?

A: Because something is on fire.  Usually it's an emergency, so the fire truck has to go fast to stop fires.

二、關(guān)于職業(yè)話題拓展

1、孩子長(zhǎng)大想做什么職業(yè)？

Q:Do you want to be a firefighter when you grow up?

A: No，I don't want to be.

Q: why not？

A: Maybe it's too dangerous.

Q: And what do you want to be when you grow up?

A: An astronaut.

2、其他職業(yè)

Q: Can you think of any other jobs that people have? what kind of job do you know?

A: Doctor, and policeman.

A: They take care of sick people. They can treat patients.

A: He works at the police station.

Q2: What do policemen do?

A：Policemen stop crime.
