When the report came to me that my article had been worse than worse,it made me feel so embarrassed that I wanted to jump into a hole in the ground.
I am lost!I thought frantically. What should I do now? I felt as cold and miserable as a wet stone. I can almost hear my heart beating as I closed my eyes squirting out tears. This road seemed endless when the last light of hope went out. I should have been lying comfortably in my soft warm bed now, but it all seemed like a dream as shadows drifted past me like ghosts. The wind howled in my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.
She danced gracefully as the music began. She was indeed beautiful, pointed of chin, square of jaw. She was perfectly designed to be a dancer. She stretched her legs, forming a fantastic line.
The rain pounded heavily on my window, ignoring my temper. The sun sneered sarcastically behind the clouds, calling me a fool. The wind howled ruthlessly outside, wanting to slap my face. I felt miserable, lonely and furious.“Even if you decide my fate, one day I will prove your injustice!” I yelled to heaven as loud as I can. But the only reply was the thunder rumbling, laughing as if not believing a small girl could handle her own fate.
The sun beamed in the bright blue sky, shining as if to congratulate me. The flowers bloomed around me, tickling me with such gentle nod. The birds sang to me, giving me a enjoyable moment. I laughed and hopped, giggling as I went, forgetting annoying things in the past. This is how you feel when you are part of nature.
After my turtle Carbon Dioxide's death, I returned to my room silently and slammed the door shut. The world is useless! I thought distressfully, tears rolling down my cheeks. Through my window, the wind made fun of me as if my turtle's death was a joke. I tried to yell, but the wind swallowed my words, making the sadness torture my heart.
The sun shone once more in the ocean, saying good bye. The stars glowed faintly in the moonlit sky, starting the night. The clouds drifted softly above the treetops, sending shadows onto the ground. In a dilapidated building, there stood a tiny skinny black girl with freckles all over her face glancing out the window. On her face was the delicate feature of her mother, pointed of chin, square of jaw. She dressed in a ragged clothes—a dress that she had worn since the day she had born. She was an epitome of victims in the American civil war. However, you can still see her belief in her big hopeful eyes which were determined to get her own freedom one day.
