chapter 1
Hello，I’m Alisa. I’m a ten-year-old kid. I live in a family that is rich，but my brother Bob Jackson and his parents always beat me.
Ouch！I am like a slave being put in a house. And they often grin at me，“What a filthy child！” I wonder if they are my family or not. And my only friend is the nature.
Once Bob caught a bird and his father caught a birdlike fish.
“Wow! What on earth is that?” Bob pointed at the birdlike fish.
“No matter what it is.” His father shrugged. Then they planned to cook and eat the fish and the bird.
And when they were gone, I went to the animals and to my surprise I heard them speaking in my mind, “Let us go, daughter of Demeter!”
“I’m no daughter of Demeter①, but I’ll just let you go!” and I really did so.
After that I was beaten by Bob’s family, of course.
One day two guests came to our house, their heads covered with a black cape.
How strange! Bob and his family were rude to them until they said they were Demeter and Zeus② and pulled off the cape.
And then the room shook, booming with flowers. Bob and his family knelt down at them, “G......great god, can you g......give us some blessings?”
“Nay! We are here to find our daughter Alisa Chase!”
“We don’t have her.”they shouted.
“It’s me,” I was excited and ran to them.
At this moment, Bob challenged the gods, “Your filthy daughter is mine!”
But the gods just waved their hands and Bob turned into a stone statue. The Jacksons were quiet for a moment and then cried.
We ignored them, flying away.
