Today let’s read “The Water Fight”.
今天我們一起來讀《打水仗》。

What can you see on the cover?

封面上有什么呢？

I can see two children. One is Chip，and the other is ...well, I can’t really tell.

我看到了兩個小朋友，一個是Chip，另外一個是......我看不清楚......

Chip grabbed a hose.

Chip拿著一根水管。

He was splashing the other child.

他正在拿水沖另外一個小朋友。

Oh! What happened?

噢！發(fā)生了什么？

It was summer.

夏天來了。

Everyone was hot.

每個人都感到非常熱。

Dad was sitting in a deck chair.

爸爸坐在一張折疊躺椅上。

Biff, Chip and Floppy were sitting on the ground.

Biff，Chip和Floppy坐在地上。

Mom got a glass of ice cold juice and a blanket.

媽媽端著一杯冰果汁，拿著一塊毯子。

What did the children want to do?
孩子們想做什么呢？

The children wanted to go swimming.

他們想去游泳。

They told Dad.

他們把想法告訴了爸爸。

But Dad said “No!”

但是爸爸拒絕了。

Why did Dad say no?

這是為什么呢？

He thought that there would be too many people.

他覺得去游泳館的人太多了。

The children came up with an idea.
孩子們有了另一個主意。

Biff got the paddling pool.

Biff拿了一個嬉水池。

Kipper filled it with water.

Kipper在里面放上水。

What was Chip thinking？

Chip在想什么呢？

Suddenly, Chip pushed Biff in the water.

突然，Chip將Biff推進(jìn)了水里。

He laughed at Biff happily.

他開心地嘲笑Biff。

Then Chip grabbed the hose.

然后Chip又拿著水管。

He turned the hose to Kipper.

他把水管對準(zhǔn)了Kipper。

Kipper was soaked.

Kipper濕透了。

They had a water fight.
孩子們開始打水仗。

Biff used a bucket to pour the water at Chip.

Biff拿了一只水桶裝水潑Chip。

Kipper was trying hard to grab the hose from Chip.

Kipper正奮力從Chip手里搶奪水管。

Who do you think would get wet next?

Mom was lying on her blanket and reading.

媽媽正躺在她的毯子上看書。

Chip soaked Mom.

Chip向媽媽潑水。

Mum got wet.

媽媽被弄濕了。

She was astonished.

媽媽驚呆了！

The children were so excited.

孩子們都很興奮。

“Stop it!” said Dad.

“停下！”爸爸說道。

Dad got a bucket of water.

爸爸拿了一桶水。

He chased Chip.

他追著Chip跑。

Chip climbed up the ladder and went on the roof.

Chip登上梯子爬上了屋頂。

He was holding the hose towards Dad.

他拿著水管對準(zhǔn)爸爸。

Dad threw the water at Chip.
爸爸把水潑向了Chip。

Chip was looking at Dad from the roof.

Chip從屋頂上看著爸爸。

Did Chip get wet？

Chip衣服濕了嗎？

Oh no!

噢不！

Someone was behind the fence！

圍欄后面有人！

Dad poured the water onto his neighbor.
爸爸把水潑到了鄰居身上！

The neighbor was wet.

鄰居全身都濕了。

“Sorry!” said Dad.

“對不起！” 爸爸說。

What do you think the neighbor would say?

特別提醒

1. 每個寶寶的年齡不一樣，基礎(chǔ)不一樣，不需要完全按照以上文本來講。如果孩子感興趣，就多說一點，不感興趣就少說一點，都沒問題。

2. 只要孩子理解，或看圖能明白，或家長可以用肢體語言或者指物的方式讓孩子明白，就不要翻譯。

3. 如果實在不能理解，可以適當(dāng)解釋，但不需要字對字翻譯。
