Today let’s read “The Go-kart”.

今天我們一起來讀《卡丁車》。

What is the red vehicle on the cover?

封面上這個(gè)交通工具是什么呢?

Is this a red car? Or bicycle?

這是一輛紅色的小汽車,還是自行車呢?

Well, it has four wheels, two pedals, it is called “go-kart”!

嗯,它有四個(gè)輪子,兩個(gè)腳蹬,這個(gè)車叫做卡丁車!

Biff, Chip and Floppy are sitting beside the go-kart.

Biff,Chip和Floppy都坐在車旁邊。

Do they want to ride the go-kart?

他們想要開卡丁車去玩嗎?

Dad made a go-kart.

爸爸做了一輛卡丁車。

He wanted to give Biff and Chip a surprise.

他想要給Biff和Chip一個(gè)驚喜。

Do you think the children will like the go-cart?

你覺得孩子們會喜歡這輛卡丁車嗎?

Definitely. I think they will like it.

我覺得他們肯定很喜歡。

Will they share the go-kart?

孩子們會分享這個(gè)卡丁車嗎?

Dad finished making the go-kart.
卡丁車制作完成啦!

He put the go-kart in the yard.

他把卡丁車放在院子里。

Biff noticed the go-kart and wanted to play.

Biff看到了這個(gè)卡丁車,她很想玩!

Chip saw the go-kart too. He also wanted to play.

Chip也看到了這個(gè)卡丁車,他也想玩。

Who do you think will have the first turn?

你認(rèn)為誰會先玩呢?

Biff wanted a go.

Biff想要開卡丁車。

However, Chip also wanted a go.

然而,Chip也想。

They ran into conflicts and began to fight with each other.

他們起了沖突,開始打架。

The go-kart was broken by them.

卡丁車也被弄壞了。

Floppy started barking. Woof, woof!

Floppy開始汪汪叫。

Why do you think Floppy barked?

你覺得Floppy為什么會叫呢?

Biff pushed Chip.

Biff推攘著Chip。

And Chip pulled.

Chip也拉扯她。

Mum saw everything when she was washing the dishes.

媽媽洗碗的時(shí)候看到了這一幕。

Dad also noticed it when he was reading newspaper.

正在看報(bào)紙的爸爸也注意到了。

He knocked on the window asking them to stop.

他敲打著落地窗想讓他們停下。

Did they stop?

他們停下來了嗎?

No, they didn’t stop.
沒有,他們沒有停下來。

Biff and Chip had a fight.

Biff和Chip在打架。

Biff pushed Chip to the ground.

Biff將Chip推倒在地。

Mum and Dad rushed out of the house anxiously.

爸爸媽媽急忙從家里跑出來。

They wanted to stop the fight.

他們想制止這場打架。

Biff quarreled with Chip.
Biff和Chip吵了起來。

“Stop it,” said Dad.

“停下,” 爸爸說。

Chip shouted at Biff.

Chip對著Biff吼叫。

“Stop it,” said Mum.

“停下,” 媽媽說。

What do you think Biff and Chip are saying?

Dad was very angry.
爸爸非常生氣。

Dad put the go-kart away, and locked it in the storage.

他把卡丁車拿走,鎖到儲藏室里了。

Why do you think Dad was so angry?

That’s because the children were not good at sharing.

Dad suggested that they make a swing together.

Everybody agreed.

They made a red swing.

他們做了一個(gè)紅色的秋千。

But there was only one seat on the swing.

但秋千上只有一個(gè)座位。

拓展練習(xí)

(難度略大,適合4歲以上寶寶~)

黃豆媽說

孩子之間的爭搶,總是一件讓父母頭疼的事情,就連Biff和Chip的爸爸媽媽也不例外。剛處理好一個(gè)矛盾,又來了新問題,這可能是很多二胎家庭的常態(tài)吧!

不過有一點(diǎn)很想提醒大家,即使是哥哥/姐姐,也不需要永遠(yuǎn)讓著弟弟/妹妹哦,爸爸媽媽要幫助孩子制定好規(guī)則,例如輪流來玩,而不是一味偏袒年齡較小的孩子!

特別提醒

1. 每個(gè)寶寶的年齡不一樣,基礎(chǔ)不一樣,不需要完全按照以上文本來講。如果孩子感興趣,就多說一點(diǎn),不感興趣就少說一點(diǎn),都沒問題。

2. 只要孩子理解,或看圖能明白,或家長可以用肢體語言或者指物的方式讓孩子明白,就不要翻譯。

3. 如果實(shí)在不能理解,可以適當(dāng)解釋,但不需要字對字翻譯。
