In today's story, Chip makes a robot from empty boxes. Kids, do you know what robots are and what they do? How is Chip going to make the robot? Let's find it out. 在今天的故事里面，Chip用空盒子做了一個(gè)機(jī)器人。小朋友們，你們知道什么是機(jī)器人嗎？機(jī)器人會(huì)做什么呢？Chip是怎么做機(jī)器人的呢？我們一起去看看吧~

MM:On the front cover, who can you see and what do you think he is doing? 封面上，你能看到誰(shuí)呢？你覺(jué)得他在做什么呢？

BB:I can see Chip, I think he is making something according to a book. 我能看到Chip，我覺(jué)得他參照著一本書在做什么東西呢。

MM:What can you see in the picture of the book? 書里面那個(gè)圖片上是什么呀？

BB:Robots, I can see a lot of robots, and I can also see robots on the shelf. 是機(jī)器人，圖片里面有好多個(gè)機(jī)器人，架子上也有機(jī)器人。

MM:Wow, now I think I know what Chip likes and what he is making. Do you know? 哇，那我現(xiàn)在知道Chip喜歡什么了，而且知道他正在做什么。那么你知道么？

BB:I know, I know, he likes robots and he is making a robot. 我知道啦。他很喜歡機(jī)器人，正在做機(jī)器人呢。

MM:Wow, great. Can you see what tools he needs to make it? 太棒啦，那你能看到做這個(gè)機(jī)器人都需要什么工具嗎？

We can see scissors, tape, glue on the table, right? 在桌子上，我們可以看到有剪刀，膠帶，還有膠水。

MM:Here we can see that Wilma, Wilf, Biff and Chip, as well as Floppy, Chip looks very happy, right, and what is that he is holding? And where do you think the kids are? 這里我們可以看到Wilma姐弟倆還有Biff和Chip和Floppy。Chip看起來(lái)好開(kāi)心呀，對(duì)吧？他手里拿的是什么呢？你覺(jué)得孩子們?cè)谀睦锬兀?/p>

BB:I can see that Chip is holding a big white box, and the kids are in the kitchen, since there are pots hanging on the wall. Chip手里拿了一個(gè)白色的大箱子，小朋友們?cè)趶N房呢，因?yàn)槲铱梢钥吹綁ι蠏熘脦讉€(gè)鍋。

MM:Great, now let's read this page:Chip had a box. Chip有一個(gè)箱子。

MM:Do you remember what Chip is going to do? 你還記得Chip要做什么嗎？

BB:Yes, I do. He is going to make a robot. 記得，他準(zhǔn)備做機(jī)器人。

MM:Wonderful, now let's turn to next page to see how he is going to make it. 好極啦，現(xiàn)在我們翻到下一頁(yè)看看他是怎么做機(jī)器人的吧。

MM:Now what is Chip doing? 現(xiàn)在Chip在做什么呢？

BB:Heturnsthe big boxupside downandout comemany little boxes. 他把大箱子倒過(guò)來(lái)，從里面倒出來(lái)好多個(gè)小盒子。

MM:Let's read to see what he says to his friends:"This is my robot," he said. "Can you see it?"我們來(lái)讀一讀這兩頁(yè)看看他跟他的朋友們說(shuō)了什么：他說(shuō)：這是我的機(jī)器人？你們看出來(lái)了么？

MM:OK kids, can you see the robot now? No, I cannot see any robot. 小朋友們，你們看出來(lái)機(jī)器人了么？反正我是啥也沒(méi)看出來(lái)。

What I see now is just a lot of empty boxes. 我現(xiàn)在只看到一堆空盒子。

MM:Oh my God, I don't think I can wait to see where the robot is. But right now we really need to be patient, right? 天哪，我覺(jué)得我已經(jīng)等不及想要知道哪里看出來(lái)是機(jī)器人了。但是現(xiàn)在我們確實(shí)需要有點(diǎn)耐心，對(duì)吧？

MM:Now we can see that Chip is putting a paper roll onto the bigger box. 現(xiàn)在我們可以看到Chip正把一個(gè)紙芯放在一個(gè)大點(diǎn)兒的盒子上面。

Take a closer look at the paper roll, you will see that one end of the paper roll is cut so that Chip can glue it onto the bigger box. 仔細(xì)看看那個(gè)紙芯，你會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)，紙芯的一端剪開(kāi)了，這樣Chip就可以把它粘到大盒子上。

Can you find the bowl of glue? You can dip your finger in it and pretend to touch it and feel the stickiness. 你能看到那一碗膠水么？你可以試著把用手指蘸一蘸，假裝摸一摸，感受一下膠水黏黏的感覺(jué)。

MM:Let's read this page:"This is a leg," said Chip. "Can you see the robot?" Chip說(shuō)：這是一條腿。你們能看出來(lái)機(jī)器人么？

MM:Oh, Chip says this paper roll is a leg of the robot, can you see it? Ah, no, I don't see it. 噢，Chip說(shuō)這個(gè)紙芯是機(jī)器人的一條腿，你們看出來(lái)了么？額，反正我是沒(méi)看出來(lái)。

MM:Now what is Chip doing? He is gluing another paper roll onto the side of the bigger box. 現(xiàn)在Chip在做什么呢？他正在用膠水把另外一個(gè)紙芯粘到大盒子的側(cè)面。

MM:What do you think this paper roll represents? The other leg? A tail? Maybe this robot has a tail, everything is possible, right? 你覺(jué)得這個(gè)紙芯代表著什么呢？另一條腿？尾巴？或許這個(gè)機(jī)器人確實(shí)有個(gè)尾巴，一切皆有可能，對(duì)吧？

MM:Now let's read it to see what Chip says about it:"This is an arm," said Chip. "Can you see my robot?"我們來(lái)讀一讀看看Chip怎么說(shuō)。Chip說(shuō)，這是一條胳膊。你們看出來(lái)我的機(jī)器人了么？

MM:Kids, can you see the robot? Um, not yet for me. 小朋友們，你們看出來(lái)機(jī)器人了么？額，我還沒(méi)看出來(lái)。

MM:Here we can see that Chip has glued two paper rolls on both sides of the big box and two on the down side of it. 現(xiàn)在我們可以看到，Chip已經(jīng)在大盒子兩端各粘了一個(gè)紙芯，在下端粘了兩個(gè)紙芯。

MM:What do you think it looks like now? Does it look like a telescope? Or some home-made table games? 那么你覺(jué)得現(xiàn)在看起來(lái)像什么呢？像一個(gè)望遠(yuǎn)鏡么？或者自制的桌游？

MM:Let's read this page:"Can you see it, yet?" said Chip. "No," said Biff. Chip說(shuō)，你們還是看不出來(lái)么？Biff回答說(shuō)：看不出來(lái)。

MM:Oh, look, what does Chip have now? Is it a monster? 快看呀，Chip現(xiàn)在拿的是什么呀？是怪獸么？

BB:No, it's not a monster, it is a head with two yellow round eyes, one red nose and a mouth. 不是怪獸，是一個(gè)頭，上面有兩個(gè)黃色的圓眼睛，一個(gè)紅鼻子，還有個(gè)嘴巴。

MM:Yes, you are right, itISa head which Chip must have made before coming inside the kitchen. 對(duì)啦對(duì)啦。確實(shí)一個(gè)頭呢，肯定是Chip提前就做好的。

MM:Now let's read to see what Chip says:"This is the head," said Chip. "Now can you see my robot?"現(xiàn)在我們來(lái)讀一讀看看Chip說(shuō)了啥：Chip說(shuō)，這個(gè)是頭。現(xiàn)在你們看出來(lái)我的機(jī)器人了么？

MM:look at this box of head, what's the mouth made of? 看一下做成頭的這個(gè)盒子，上面的嘴巴是什么做的呢？

BB:It is a comb. Oh, I remembered, Chip is just making the head on the front cover. 是一把梳子。我想起了啦，封面上顯示，Chip正在做一個(gè)頭。

MM:Wow, you sure have a very good memory. 哇，你的記憶力真好啊。

MM:Now you have a head, how can you make a robot then? 現(xiàn)在有了一個(gè)頭，接下來(lái)怎么做機(jī)器人呢？

MM:Let's turn to next page to find it out. 我們翻到下一頁(yè)看看吧。

MM:Wow, look, I can see the robot now, can you? 哇，你看，我能看出來(lái)機(jī)器人啦，你們呢？

MM:Let's read:"We can see it now!" said Biff. Biff說(shuō)：我們現(xiàn)在看出來(lái)啦。

MM:I think Chip is so great, and Biff is giving him a big thumbs-up, and Wilf is clapping his hands for him. 我覺(jué)得Chip太厲害了。你看，Biff在為他點(diǎn)贊，Wilf在為他鼓掌呢。

MM:What body parts does this robot have? 這個(gè)機(jī)器人都有什么身體部位呀？

BB:It has a head with two eyes, one nose and one mouth on it, a neck, a body with two arms and two legs as well as two feet. 它有一個(gè)頭，上面有眼睛，鼻子和嘴巴，一個(gè)脖子，一個(gè)身體，身體上有倆胳膊和兩條腿，還有兩只腳。

MM:Let's sing the song of head, shoulders, knees and toes to get more familiar with body parts, OK? 我們來(lái)唱一唱head, shoulders, knees and toes這首歌來(lái)熟悉身體部位吧？
