They are talking about dogs.

他們正在談論狗狗。

Maybe they want to choose one.

他們可能想要選一只狗狗。

Which dog do you think they will choose?

你覺得他們會選哪一只呢？

One day, Kipper was reading “My Book of Dogs”.

一天，Kipper正在讀《我的狗狗》這本書。

There were many cute dogs in this book.

書里有好多可愛的狗狗。

He was attracted by the dogs.

他被狗狗們深深地吸引了。

I think Kipper wanted a dog.

我覺得Kipper想要一只狗狗。

When the family was having afternoon tea,

當家人們在喝下午茶時，

Kipper told his mother that he wanted a dog.

Kipper告訴媽媽他想要一只狗狗。

Everyone in the family wanted a dog.

家庭成員們都想要一只狗狗。

Mum wanted a big, yellow, fluffy dog.

Kipper的媽媽想要一只有蓬松毛發(fā)的黃色大狗。

Chip wanted a brown dog.

Chip想要一只棕色的狗狗。

Kipper wanted a small black dog.

Kipper想要一只黑色的小狗。

What about Biff and Dad?

Biff和爸爸怎么想呢？

Biff wanted a dog that can do tricks.

Dad wanted a dog to catch the thieves.

It was a strong yellow dog with a red collar and smooth hair.

這是一只強壯的黃色大狗，它戴著紅色的項圈，毛發(fā)柔順。

What was wrong with the dog that Kipper chose?

Dad thought it was too big.

爸爸認為它太大了。

Maybe the dog would take his seat and he would have no place to read newspapers.

Was the dog pleased that the family had chosen him?

這一家人選擇了它，這只狗狗開心嗎？

Oh! Of course it was.

噢！當然啦！

The dog barked happily! Woof woof！

They took the dog home.

很多小朋友都喜歡狗狗，你知道下面這些常見的品種都怎么說嗎？

金毛巡回犬：Golden Retriever；哈士奇：Husky

阿拉斯加犬：Alaskan Malamute；柯基犬：Corgi

比熊犬：Bichon Frise；約克夏犬：Yorkshire Terrier

吉娃娃：Chihuahua；藏獒：Tibetan Mastiff

德國牧羊犬：German shepherd；貴賓犬：Poodle

拉布拉多：Labrador；柴犬：Shiba Inu

薩摩耶：Samoyed；泰迪：Teddy

特別提醒

1. 每個寶寶的年齡不一樣，基礎不一樣，不需要完全按照以上文本來講。如果孩子感興趣，就多說一點，不感興趣就少說一點，都沒問題。

2. 只要孩子理解，或看圖能明白，或家長可以用肢體語言或者指物的方式讓孩子明白，就不要翻譯。

3. 如果實在不能理解，可以適當解釋，但不需要字對字翻譯。
